Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a heavily revised version of its popular Vito van featuring new Euro-5 engines and refreshed styling both inside and out.
Under the skin the Vito gets Mercedes' latest range of four- and six-cylinder diesel engines that are cleaner and more economical than the outgoing units, and the entire range is certified to meet the Euro-5 emission standard.
There's now a broader spectrum of power outputs raging from 95hp right up to a colossal 258hp - making it the most powerful van when it goes on sale in the UK at the end of this year.
For the first time on the Vito, customers can specify Mercedes' BlueEFFICIENCY technology, which includes stop/start and low-rolling-resistance tyres. All the four-cylinder engines will come with a new six-speed transmission as standard.
On the outside, the Vito gets a mild facelift with the most noticeable features being new headlights, grille, bumpers and tail-lights. On the inside, Mercedes has improved the dashboard layout with what the manufacturer calls "simpler controls" and a new colour scheme throughout.
